AN ONTOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF A “KO？MA” OF DADALO？LU

Ontology is one of the important philosophical ideas of our time. Ontology tries to understand the essence of beings. Ontology is also used in interpreting artworks. In the name of art ontology has been applied especially to poetry texts. The method examines artwork by separating it into several ontical layers. The method based on the theory of layers was interpreted differently by researchers. So it is important to determine the limits of the method. The method has been applied especially in classical literature in Turkish literature and contemporary poems in recent periods. In our study, a ko？ma of Dadaloglu was interpreted using ontological method. The ontological method is a technique to reach deep meaning of folk poetry. As a result of the study, the presence of ontic layers was observed in the ko？ma of Dadalo？lu. The theory of layers is a way to gain rich interpretations of the deep meaning of folk poetry. The formation and transmission characteristics of folk poetry are largely similar to those of the ontological method
