The Process of Uzlat, Khalwa and Kashf as an Individual Effort in the Work of ?akīm at-Tirmidhī Named ‘Risālatu Kayfiyyati's-Sulūk ilā Rabbi’l-ālamīn’Keywords: Hak?m et-Tirmiz?,Sül?k,Halvet,Uzlet,Ke?f Abstract: The work of ?akīm at-Tirmidhī named 'Risālatu kayfiyyati's-sülūk' is shaped around concepts uzlat, khalwa and kashf. The process to which concepts refer is defined as sulūk. In this context, the work deals with the process of sulūk, the reasons, methods of this process and the concepts that describe the sālik in sulūk. In the work, a training process has been put forward by taking into psychological and physical factors into consideration. The scope of sālik, the intellectual infrastructure that provided the origin of the sulūk, and the psychological and physical elements that will provide the continuation of the sulūk have been dealt with in a holistic way. A process that sālik has to keep his thoughts, mood, and physical condition in check constitutes the main structure of the text. That Tirmidhī’discusses concepts in terms of individual effort is a significant point. The work of Tirmidhī is a fundamental example which includes information on the semantic framework of sulūk in the pre-orders period.The fact that the phases and contents of the kashf have been depicted in a lively manner is a remarkable feature of the work.
