Sports Services on Local Administrations and Development Plans

Sport policies emerge as an important process of dissemination of the sports to wider communities. This is why the governments should also pay attention to sport policies while structuring their health, economics and educational policies. The core point of the government policies includes the structuring of sports. Local governmental bodies are key actors in dissemination and practicing of sport policies at local basis. In this study sports services were examined as a whole as part of local authorities and development plans. Within the study we examined the local authorities’ acts and 5 year development plans between the years of 1963-2018. As a result, when the development programs and local authorities acts are examined as a whole, it can be said that the governments are expected to constitute functional and effective sports policies rather than just doing it allegedly. Within the context of development programs, sports policies were handled as Case Analysis, Principles and Policies but not touched upon other functional aspects
