Examination of Some Physical and Physiological Findings of Male Judoist and Weightlifters in Individual Sports

In this study; it is aimed to compare some physical and physiological findings of judo and weightlifters. A total of 140 volunteers, 52 judocu and 88 weightlifters, participated in the study. Judiciaries and weightlifters measurements were taken at Erciyes University sports hall before the competition. Volunteer who participate in this study were taken body weights, body mass index, body fat percentage, total body fluid measurements. In addition, were calculated. volunteers' hand grip strength, oxygen saturation, resting pulse, systolic and diastolic blood pressures were measured and relative claw forces. Independent groups were t-tested for comparison of data. Judiciary and weightlifters had differences in height length, body fat percentage and oxygen saturation (p<0.05). No statistical difference was found in terms of other physical and physiological variables measured (p>0.05). As a result; the data obtained in the study conducted were similar to those in the literature when compared with similar studies in the literature. We think that the weight of the weightlifters is short compared to the judiciaries and the fact that the body fat percentages are too high is a characteristic of the weightlifting branch. In addition, the fact that physical and physiological parameters are close to each other is thought to be due to the fact that sports branches are divided into their own. The data obtained in our study compared with the similar studies in the literature compared with the data was similar. However, it is thought that oxygen saturation values are not observed when the previous literature is reviewed, and that this study will contribute to the future studies and oxygen saturation measurements can be added to the studies
