The Use of Moulage for Providing “Fidelity” in Nursing Education

In nursing education today, simulation use is becoming increasingly common as an additional training method for developing nursing knowledge and skills. Simulation allows the participant to experience a real environment by providing experience-based learning opportunities. Simulated learning allows students to practice their skills in environments that are similar to or the same as they will experience in real-life situations. For simulated learning to be effective, it is important to create realistic visual and tactual experiences in the learning environment. This can be achieved with the use of moulage.
