Abstract:

"Accountability" is a concept that is now being used in many areas such as political and administrative field, education and health, law and psychology. This concept collects on the attention of today's world as an almost imperative approach, at the point where the desired activities are performed with maximum efficiency. Accountability as an integral part of the evaluation process is a reflection of what is done and how to take responsibility by explaining the behavior on a logical and substantive basis. At this point, it seems that there is not any model in Turkey, especially in the field of Psychological Counseling and Guidance, which is settled in the educational field in its entirety. It has great importance for the development of the field that the applications made in the field of counseling and guidance are realized in accordance with the principles of accountability, the evaluation of the applied interventions, the construction of the process in this direction and the planning ready to account at any time. Similarly, it is important for a school psychological counselor to evaluate the comprehensive school counseling and guidance program, to identify deficiencies, to share positive or negative outcomes with stakeholders, as well as to accountability for progress in education. This compilation work on accountability issues dealt with in detail, accountability model in schools located abroad and accountability studies in Turkey are mentioned
