Abstract:

This research; was conducted at the Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of Dicle University in order to determine the silting abilities of Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) and Field Pea (Pisum sativum L.) plant mixtures at different ratios. In the study, the GAP pink variety on the feed bee and the kendal and samyeli varieties on the barley were used as the material. Silos are formed in pure and mixed forms at 9 different ratios (Field pea %100, Barley (kendal) %100, Barley (samyeli) %100, Field pea %75 + Barley (kendal) %25, Field pea %50 + Barley (kendal) %50, Field pea %25 + Barley (kendal) %75, Field pea %75 + Barley (samyeli) %25, Field pea %50 + Barley (samyeli) %50, Field pea %25 + Barley (samyeli) %75). After 60 days, some physical (color, odor, structure) and chemical analyzes (KM, HK, HP, ADF, NDF and pH) were made in the silos opened. When the findings of the research are examined, the difference between CM (dry matter), HK (crude ash), HP (crude protein), ADF, NDF and pH values was found to be significant among all applications, but differences between physical findings were not significant as statistically. At this and similar mixture silages, it was concluded that better quality silage feed could be obtained by additing at least 50% cereal into the mixture
