EXERCISE BEHAVIOR CHANGE OF MIDWIFERY STUDENTS WHO WITH AND WITHOUT PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM EXERCISES COURSEKeywords: ebelik,egzersiz,do?um ?ncesi,do?um sonras? Abstract: Aim: The purpose of study is to evaluate the exercise behavior change of the midwifery students who with and without prenatal and postpartum exercises course. Method: The universe of the study consisted of midwifery fourth grade students from a public university between February-July 2017 and February-July 2018 (N=198). As the prenatal and postpartum exercise course was an elective course so was not made sample selection. A total of 122 students (intervention group=66 students, control group=56 students) participated in the fourth grade midwifery students. Socio-demographic questionnaires, Exercise Processes of Change Scales were used as data collection tools. Results: The mean age of the students was 22.04±1.17 years and their academic average was 2.78±0.37 (on a 4-point system), and the mean body mass index was 21.45±3.27. According to the pre-post test results of the students in the intervention group, a statistically significant difference was found between the mean total score of exercise change stages (p <0.05).
