Why Art Education?

This article is about art education and how it can contribute to the improvement of the individuals. We sought to understand the importance of visual arts on skills such as criticism, judgment, appreciation, conclusion, and summarization.. Pedagogical benefits of visual arts education are emphasized as well as its cultural and social contribution in the study. The question, “Why is there a need for visual arts in education” was answered in the study. Accordingly, we concluded that arts education is necessary to educate individuals for questioning, critically thinking, confident, and open-minded.
