Turkish Act on Private International Law and International Procedure (No.5718) has provisions on the law applicable to the legal reasons underlying decisions issuing or revoking a tutelage or guardianship (Article 10) and international jurisdiction of Turkish courts (Article 41 and Article 42). Doctrine and Turkish courts adopt different approaches on recognition of foreign judgements on this issue.
