Determination of Burnout Levels of the Personnel Working in an Oral and Dental Health Center: A Pilot StudyKeywords: Tükenmi?lik,Di? Hekimleri,Di? Klini?i Abstract: Oral and dental health centers are multidisciplinary units where the dentist, nurse and dental technician / clinic assistant work together as a team. The purpose of study is to determine the burnout levels and the factors that affect the staff working at a dental and oral health center. As a questionnaire, 'Sociodemographic Characteristics Form' and 'Maslach Burnout Scale' were applied. 77.8% of participants in the study were female, 22.2% were male. The average age was 33.44, the average year of work was 9.56 and the average year of work was 5.56. Burnout levels were affected by occupation, income status, working duration and noise levels statistically whereas there was no statistically significant difference between the variables of gender, age, years of employment, marital status and working condition as single unit or multi-unit room (p> 0.05). According to the results of this study, occupation, income status, working duration and noise significantly affect the burnout levels of personnel working in the oral and dental health center. In the oral and dental health centers, it may be possible to reduce the levels of burnout by means of a number of precautions taken by the working staff as well as the institution
