Colicum Infantum

Abstract Colicum infantum which is described by Wessel et al nearly 60 years ago is a frequently encountered complaint which can be seen in infants within the first three month safter delivery and is characterized by excessive uneasiness and crying episodes which may continue more than 3 weeks and at least 3 days in a week. Although many studies towards etiology of infantil colic, it is not exactly explained. Many risk factors are mentioned but no one explore definitively. Also, there is no effective treatment for colicum infantum, yet. We review the colicum infantum insight to current literature
