EVALUATING SEAFARERS’ VOCATIONAL ERRORS AND NON-COMPLIANCES SUBJECT TO PUNISHMENT BY USING FAHP METHOD

Maritime trade is a whole set of activities that are the cornerstones in the economic development of countries comprise many systems and structures contained within itself. As to seafarers, they are a very important component of this system. The performance and quality of seafarers is an important parameter that directly affects the quality of the maritime industry. From this point of view, within the scope of the directive regarding administrative sanctions to be applied to seafarers, this study evaluates the occupational errors that seafarers might have made or are likely to make during their work. In this evaluation a quantitative research method has been used. The purpose is to reveal the most likely encountered rule violations and non-compliances as a result of overall negligence.
