MAIN THEMES IN AZIYADE NOVEL AND TEVFIK FIKRET'S CRITIQUES ABOUT PIERRE LOTI

Tevfik Fikret has written two articles on Pierre Loti's Aziyade novel. These texts appeared in the columns of "Musahabe-i Edebiyye” in Servet-i Fün？nmagazine. The spaces of this novel are Thessaloniki and Istanbul. Tevfik Fikret states in these writings that Westerners do not recognize the Eastern societies and Pierre Loti does not know the customs of the Turks.
