Factors Affecting Utilization of e-Pulse Application

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the opinions about the use of e-pulse application and the factors affecting the use of e-pulse application. Material and Methods: The questions in the first part of the questionnaire used for the collection of research data were developed by Ekiyor and ？etin (2017). In the second part of the questionnaire, the questions prepared as a result of literature review was used. In the study, 207 individuals living in Kastamonu Daday were interviewed face to face and the data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 program. For the descriptive statistics, percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation were used. For the comparative analyses, t-test and one-way variance analysis were used. Findings: As a result of analysis, it was found out that 62.1% of the participants were not aware of e-pulse application, and 49.4% of 71 participants who were aware of e-pulse application had used it via internet. Participants who are using the e-Pulse application stated that the application is useful, easy to use and necessary and facilities the use of health services. As a result of the study, there were no significant difference between e-Pulse use and gender, marital status, presence of chronic illness, age, frequency of health care utilization factors. There was a significant difference between participants' e-Pulse use averages and education status. Conclusion: It has been understood that e-pulse application is mostly recommended by the individuals who use it, but the number of users is low. It can be said that e-pulse application is mostly used by highly educated individuals. It is proposed that public spots should be formed and informative trainings should be given about the subject in order to disseminate the use of the application
