Evaluating Alzheimer’s Disease in the Frame of Cognitive Processes and Clinical Aspects: A Critical Review of ?ahsiyet TV Mini-SeriesKeywords: Alzheimer hastal???,bellek,beyin,ki?ileraras? ili?kiler,varolu??u psikoloji Abstract: ?ahsiyet (Saylak, 2018) is a 12-episode TV mini-series about the changing life of Agah Beyo?lu, who lives in Beyo?lu-Istanbul. After receiving a an Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, Agah Beyo?lu decides to become a serial killer. In the first part of the present article, general characteristics of the series and main story were introduced. In the second part, the main character’s cognitive disruptions due to Alzheimer's disease were evaluated. In this regard, Agah Beyo?lu’s memory disruptions and changes in his personality were discussed in relation to cognitive psychology and neurology disciplines. In the third part, the main character’s life and his disease-related experiences were examined from a clinical perspective. In this respect, his interpersonal relationships were closely investigated in the frame of existential psychology. Moreover, his defense mechanisms against Alzheimer's disease were discussed. In summary, we presented how an individual experiences deteriorations in cognitive processes which is caused by Alzheimer's disease. We also argue about his interpersonal conflicts and existential anxieties that may arise after receiving this diagnosis
