Pre-school teachers' views on family involvement

Abstract:

In order for the child's education process to become permanent and the child can internalize this process, the family should act together with the education stakeholders. Teachers have a critical role in involving the family in the child's educational process. The purpose of this study is to examine the perceptions of preschool teachers about family participation in depth. The study group consists of 36 pre-school teachers who work in pre-school education institutions in Silopi district of ??rnak province in the 2018-2019 academic year. The data were collected by the researchers in a semi-structured interview form. The data were analyzed by content analysis technique. As a result, it was determined that pre-school teachers did not care about family education due to lack of communication with families and lack of experience and they were insufficient in family education practices.
