Examination of Future Expectations and Occupational Anxiety Levels of Pedagogical Formation Students'

The teachers of shaping up the society’s future are one of the most important members of education institution and system. While taking attention to the teachers in this position, it is seen remarkably to hope of the future, satisfaction of the profession. The aim of this research is to determine the future expectations levels and occupational anxiety levels of the pedagogical formation students and determine whether there is a relationship between future expectations and occupational anxiety levels and if so determine the direction of this relationship. The study was conducted with 50 students who are continuing pedagogical formation educations in Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Education in the 2016-2017 academic years. As data collection tool, Future Expectation scale consisting of 15 items and one factor and the Occupational Anxiety Scale consisting of 45 items and 8 factors were used. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and Spearman correlation coefficient values were examined on the quantitative data obtained in the study conducted in the survey model. According to findings of research, it has been determined that the students who are continuing in pedagogical formation education during the 2016-2017 academic year in Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Education have a low level of future expectations and occupational anxiety levels and there is no significant relationship between future expectations and occupational anxiety levels
