EFFECT OF DEVELOPMENT APPROPRIATIONS TO DEVELOPMENT OF UNIVERSITIES

Universities are institutions with a dynamic structure with education, research and implementation activities in today's society. Universities are seen to be successful when they can contribute to the social, cultural and economic structure of the country and can provide solutions to problems. Therefore, the financial and spiritual incentive of the academicians, who make great supports to the development of the university, will increase their belonging to the institution and increase the overall performance. The increase in performance will also have a positive effect on the quality and recognition of the university. Accordingly, in this study, founded in 1992 in Turkey that was investigated by what is in the direction that the panel data analysis of the effects of development appropriations in 12 universities. In the analysis made within the sample, the effect of the development appropriations was not seen in the professor numbers, whereas the negative effect was found in the associate professor and assistant professor numbers
