The effect of creating ethic climate in the health sector on the performance of nursesKeywords: Etik,Etik ?klim,Performans,?al??an Performans,Hem?ire Abstract: ?ntroduction: In health organizations giving 24-hour not stop services, for the nurses who experience intensive exhaustion and sometimes spend more time than that they spent at their houses, whose performances decrease for that reason, for their spending time peacefully and happily, for their giving services in a desiring way, and meeting the increasing expectations of the patients an effective ethical climate environment in the organization can be provided for them. Method: The population of the study is 450 nurses working in a hospital in Karaman province. The data were collected by questionnaire method and analyzed in SPSS program. Employees' performance was measured by Rahman and Bullock (2004) and ethical climate by Victor and Cullen (1993). Results: In this context the objective of this study is to analyze the egoistic, helpful, primitive climates which are the dimensions of ethical climate in health organizations and their impact on employee performance. Parallel to this objective by taking the theoretical discussions and research findings in the literature into account the hypotheses of the study were determined. Conclusion: The relationship between ethical climate and performance was measured by correlation and regression, and a weak statistical significance was found between ethical climate and employee performance.Also, there was no statistical significance in the correlation and regression analyzes with the sub-dimensions of ethical climat
