THE CRITICISM ON CONSERVATISM IDEOLOGY OF 1979 IRAN REVOLUTION: PERSEPOLIS FILM AND SEMIOTICS ANALYSIS ANALYSIS

In this study, it was tried to show how the conservatism ideology was presented in cinema in the French film Persepolis 2007. In the analysis of the study, the semiological analysis model of Roland Barthes, one of the most important representatives of semiotics, was used. In the frame of the concepts of “denotation” and “connotation” put forth by Barthes, it was tried to put forth what was told in the film. Within the framework of the findings, it was determined that the conservatism ideology was exposed to a severe criticism in the film.
