THE INVERTED APPENDICEAL STUMP THAT MIMICK CAECAL POLYP IN COLONOSCOPIC EXAMINATIONKeywords: ?nverte güdük,?ekal polip,Apendiks Abstract: The inverted appendix stump which can mimick mass image in caecum is one of the rare complication of appendectomy. Intussusception of appendix or inverted appendiceal stump may appear like a polyp or tumor during colonoscopy. For this reason, many different treatments such as biopsy to extensive resection is done. The number of patients diagnosed colonoscopic is very low. Colonoscopic treatment can be applied in selected patients considering potential risk of peritonitis. In this article we described a case of inverted appendiceal stump imaged caecal polyp during colonoscopy that is diagnosed after snare polypectomy. We need to keep in mind the possibility of intussusception or inverted stump for lesions that localized around the orifice of the appendix and colonoscopic aproach can be an option of treatment
