Informal Female Workforce in The Labor Market: A Research for Women Working at Home AxisKeywords: Ev eksenli ?al??ma,neo-liberal ekonomi politikalar?,yoksulluk,toplumsal cinsiyet temelli i?b?lümü,ataerkil de?erler Abstract: In Turkey and in the world, the number of women participating in employment with homebased work, especially in the apparel industry has increased. With this form of work, women participating in employment are employed with a wage income that is far below the minimum wage, with the exception of formal, legal regulations. Women participating in the production process with home-based work are the informal women labor force in labor market and employment. Economic and socio-cultural factors are influential in the work of women as home-based, informal workforce. These factors also lead to the formation of negative working conditions while preparing the ground for home-based work for women. In this study, economic and socio-cultural factors leading to home-based study, working conditions and problems are revealed by qualitative research findings. The study suggests that social policy measures are needed to improve the status and position of women whom working home-based. Any policy measures that improve the status and position of women working home-based in the labor market and employment will also improve the positions and status of women in social lif
