THE EFFECTS oF CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION ORGANIZATIONS

This study aims to determine the effect of convention and fair organizations on tourism industry. EMITT fair has been taken as sample to enlighten the probable effects. Therefore “what are the probable effects of convention and fair organizations on tourism” has been the key question of the study. Especially congress tourism has been becoming animportant option of tourism all over the World as in Turkey. Tourism has been in a rapidgrowth during the last decades, and the boost in convention & fair organizations thought to be one of the reasons of this growth of tourism industry. This relation between tourism and conventions makes the importance of the researches about the conventions and fairs as a segment of tourism industry. In this study 10 foreign and 19 local participants of EMITT have been interviewed and the data gathered. Collected data have been analyzed via descriptive analysis method.
