Memory in the Lighthouse by Alison Moore

The Lighthouse by Alison Moore remains to be a narration where the sense of memory has become influential. Almost all memories with mother are joyful and they are what connect Futh, the hero of the novel, to life. Especially the lighthouse, which can be regarded as a concretized form of beautiful memories with the mother, functions as a source and energy of life for him. Still, it is the unbearable memories, the memories of loss and abandonment, the memories of betrayal that gradually lead him to death and dominate his life.
