Examination Of Prospective Social Studies Teachers Through Digital Citizenship IndicatorsKeywords: Dijital vatanda?,sosyal bilgiler ??retmen adaylar?,e-devlet,internet kullan?m? Abstract: Individuals joining the online community through the technology of the 21st century has led to the emergence of "digital citizen" concept. With digital media becoming essential, studies on digital citizenship training have increased. The aim of this study is to examine the digital citizenship indicators of prospective social studies teachers. In the study, the descriptive survey method, which is one of the quantitative research methods, has been used. The sample of this study consists of 401 prospective teachers that are studying in the Social Studies Teaching departments of Necmettin Erbakan University, Kastamonu University, Ege University, and Pamukkale University. The scale called the "Digital Citizenship Scale" developed by Som-Vural (2016) consisting of 23 items was used for collecting data. The obtained data was analyzed with the SPSS 23 Package Program. In this context, apart from descriptive statistics (percentages and frequencies), one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post-Hoc tests were used. According to one-way analysis of variance results; no significant differences were found between the scores of the prospective social studies teachers from the digital citizenship scale and the universities they studied at and their daily average internet usage times. Nevertheless, significant differences were found between the e-devlet application usage frequencies of groups. A number of suggestions were made based on the results of the study
