An Evaluat？on On Mehmet Ali Kalkan's Life, Art and His Poems

Mehmet Ali Kalkan, whofeeds on thesources of Turkish cultural history and tradition in his poems, has a close rattitude to folk poetry with his simple language, verse form sand syllables. When welook his poems, it can be understood that each poem tries to express something. According to him, it is essential to say them ostthings with at least syllable. In this sense, telling a lot with little words is among the main goals of the poems. Although some of his poem shave exaggeration, Mehmet Ali Kalkan’s poems which have realities consistent with each other in terms of content and shape properties. The poets support his emotion sand thoughts. This work is about poetic sand poetry of Mehmet Ali Kalkan.
