The Differences Of Tourism Students' Entrepreneurship Trends By Demographic Characteristics

The importance given to entrepreneurship is increasing day by day with the advances today. With the understanding that there is a need for successful entrepreneurs for the development of a country, they have begun to give more space to entrepreneurship in state policies. In countries such as Turkey, which has a relatively young population, with the determination of young people have done for promoting the entrepreneurial orientation and it is obvious that after the emergence of successful entrepreneurs. In parallel with this case, it has been tried to determine whether the entrepreneurship trends of Kastamonu University Tourism Faculty students have a significant difference according to demographic characteristics. The survey method was used to collect the data to be used in the research. A total of 585 students were enrolled in the faculty within the Faculty of Tourism, and a questionnaire was applied to 461 students. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the factors constituting the entrepreneurship tendency were stability, openness to openness, self-confidence, innovation, risk taking and opportunism. It has been determined that these factors differ significantly from individual characteristics of students according to gender, nationality, department, class, age and entrepreneurial activity
