The Oaths in The Qur’an According to Al-Māturīdī

There are many oath statements in the Qur’ān. Although the information about oaths in the Qur？ān was given in various books written from the beginning of the tafsir history, it is seen that the subject is not thoroughly studied and it has not been sufficiently emphasized. On the other hand, Māturīdī, an early mufass？r, dwell on oaths in the Qur’ān in detail and he made statements about how these oaths should be understood in the Ta？wīlāt al-Qur？ān. Māturīdī who analyzed oaths with different dimensions in his book, occasionally presented original interpretations while mentioning some basic principles concerning the subject. This study aims to reveal the opinions and evaluations of Māturīdī related to the oaths in the Qur’ān
