THE FAULTS OF PROTOTYPE PARTS PRODUCED WITH FDM TECHNOLOGY AND PREVENTION OF THESE FAULTSKeywords: H?zl? prototip,FDM teknoloji,Prototip Abstract: Nowadays, most of the products we use are made from plastic parts. After making the design of the products, it is necessary a long time and many operations to produce plastic parts. With the developing technology, plastic parts are produced in a short time using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method. In this study, when the prototype part is produced by FDM method, mistakes originating from the machine principle, part design and part production are discussed. These faults are the steps on the surface of the part, deformations on the part surface during removal of the support material and easy breaks. To resolve these faults, It was investigated to change the part production position, change the part design or apply the chemical to the prototype part surface to eliminate defects. Apart from these, the dimensions of some parts required by the design are large and it is impossible to produce them at one time. For this reason, the way and methods of combining large prototypes were examined
