TREATMENT OF MALIGNANT EPITHELIAL HAIR FOLLICLE TUMORS

Trichilemmal carcinoma and malignant proliferating trichilemmal tumor are very rare tumors that can be local or very aggressive with sistemic metastases originating from outher root sheat epithelium of the hair follicles. These tumors can be misdiagnosed with other skin cancers clinically. Wide surgical excision is the standart treatment in local disease. Recurrence may be seen. There is still no standart adjuvant therapy for sistemic disease of both tumors. Scan of the patients for staging and close follow-up are mandatory for prognose of the diseases
