HERE KITTY KITTY: BILGE KARASU’S CATS

In the texts of Bilge Karasu -one of the original names of contemporary Turkish literature- the animal question directed language and fiction; at the same time it is one of the most significant issues taking place in the “area of problems” of the Karasu literature. Among the many animals in the text, cats have a distinct place. In the personal life of Karasu and his literature, cats have a significant importance and function. In this article, it has been tried to explain how the cats affect the world of thought and how it affects the cats. In doing so, data such as the author's letters and essays were used, and fictional texts were analyzed with a text-oriented approach
