Investigation of Gamma Irradiated Carvedilol Drug by EPR Technique at 295 KelvinKeywords: Elektron paramanyetik rezonans,Serbest radikal,Gama ???nlama Abstract: This study aims to investigate free radicals produced after gamma irradiation of carvedilol, the drug used in the treatment of cardiovascular, at 295 Kelvin. While unirradiated powder samples of carvedilol do not exhibit any EPR signal, irradiated samples exhibited a sharp and clear EPR signal. After the irradiation of the samples with gamma rays, EPR signal intensities were increased significantly based on the irradiation dose. Mathematical functions and correlation coefficients were calculated determining the relation between the increasing radiation doses on the signal intensities of the sample. The results were found to be in good agreement with the existing literature data
