The Evaluation of Financial Performance of Tourism Companies Operated in Istanbul Stock Exchange: AHS and VIKOR Methods

The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance of tourism companies listed on Borsa Istanbul. In this study, the performance evaluation of tourism enterprises for 2015 was made by using AHS (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and VIKOR methods. Using these methods, firms are ranked according to their financial performance. In the study, the most important main criterion according to AHS method is Cost of Sales / Net Sales ratio, while the lowest weighted criterion is Profitability of Equity. Furthermore, Metemtur Otelcilik ve Turizm ？？letmeleri Anonim ？irketi has been identified as the best performing tourism company according to V？KOR method. Merit Tourism and Investment Enterprises Inc. is the second best company and Kustur Kusadasi Touristic Facilities Inc. is the last company
