In this study, it is aimed to give basic information about the life and works of Hamid Efendi. His life, his family, his duties, his fatwas, his scientific and political works were investigated from the sources related to Ottoman history and law. There are many members of ilmiye among his family. He served as Rumeli kazaskeri and shayk al-islam in the two top officials of the ilmiye. Hamid Efendi, who was the first shayk al-islam from Konya, has not seen any interest, despite his important works. He has done all of the ilmiye professions. He has made innovations in mulazemet system during his qadi asker duty. He prepared a fatwa book, which was read as a course book in madrasahs.
