A Research on the Entrepreneurship Trends of Sakarya University Students

Entrepreneurship has significant effects on economic development. Knowledge of young people, who are to be the future representatives of business world, on entrepreneurship and their tendencies on this matter are of great importance. In this study, it is aimed to obtain information on entrepreneurship trends of young people. A questionnaire form was created for this purpose. The questionnaires were filled out by students of Sakarya University. The study is a quantitative study. Convenience sampling method was preferred in the selection of the people who were to represent the population of the study. A total of 445 utilizable questionnaire forms were obtained. The frequency analyses, percentage analyses, factor analysis, t tests and Anova tests were applied to the obtained data using SPSS and AMOS package programs. The questions included in the scale were grouped under 5 dimensions (making use of opportunities, making innovation, being independent, being extraverted and taking risks). The analyses were conducted on these dimensions and various results were found. As a result of the research, recommendations were made for the related parties
