Between the Power of the Center and the Margin. The Function of Intertextuality in the Poetry of BouqualaKeywords: ?????,??????,??????,??????,?????? Abstract: After a period of structural hegemony, that considered the literary text as a closed world, now, begin to appear approaches and visions that highlight the unproductiveness of such enclosed views, rejecting the concept of closed structure, rather considering the literary text as an open world, capable of interfering with the different contexts that produce and influence it. We find, for example, cultural criticism, of which Abdullah Al-Ghadami, is one of the most notable Arab researchers, who attempted to establish the legitimacy of cultural criticism, by asking whether in literature, exists more than the literary. Al-Ghadami’s project is a dismantling of cultural models and a release of their control, by removing a sort of “cultural blindness”, which led him to explain the particularities of the Arab cultural discourse, and highlight what he was unable to detect. The aim of our study is to research the methods that are used by the cultural centre, to control and marginalise the margin’s discourse, which is why we chose a form of marginal discourse, women’s oral poetry, by looking at the “bouqalat” poems, as cultural discourse
