An Important Culture in the East, Educational Institution: Hakkari Hause and Its Activities

As a cultural institution, Public House is one of the orientation practices of citizenship established in place of Turkish quarries. Between 1932 and 1951, the townhouses, which had been going on its facilities, became a version of public parties in the locals. Especially in the enlightenment of the people, important efforts have been made in removing the urban-peasant discrimination by Public houses. After the closure of the Turkish quarries, the Public houses, which helped citizens to understand the populism, served as a culture-bearer in many places and served on account of republic? In the main rhetoric of this work, information about the general structure and activities of the People’s Houses opened in Hakkari province, as it is in other provinces, in 1937 is given. The Hakkari Public House, which had been opened relatively late due to the climatic conditions and other problems, seems to be determined to continue its existence through the help of province officers. However, according to reports, the perceptions of people towards Public Houses are not positive. In particular, the lack of public support and Public Houses’ presidents’ being unstable frequently has caused discontinuity in these houses. One of the aims of this study is to create a general Public Housing portfolio by looking at the work done by Hakkari Public House
