D？SCUSS？ON ON THE I’RAB ？N ACCORDANCE W？TH 26TH VERSE OF SURA AL-H？D AND VAN？ MEHMET’S MUHAKAMAT (ADJUD？CAT？ONS)

Vani Mehmed Efendi (d. 1096/1685) lived after Abu’s-Suud Efendi (d. 982/1574) who was a prominent and well-known teacher and preacher of his time. He has received various works and short writings (tractate) besides his al-tafsir Araisu’l-Kur’an. One of these treatises includes reflections on criticism directed at the explanation Abu’s-Suud Efendi said regarding to the 26th verse of sura al-H？d, his book ？r？adu’l-？akli’s-sel？m ila mezaya’l-Kur’ani’l-Ker？m and the evaluations that can be counted as the type of muhakemat (adjudications.) This book is actually an example of the traditon of Muhakemat (Adjudications). The questions were asked and the answers (reciprocation) were given by some scholars of the period. Vani Mehmed Efendi has ruled between them and has reached a conclusion. In this work, is examined Vani Mehmed Efendi’s approach to to the issues that he handled and examined within a certain system and is presented the original text of the treatise to the reader at the same time
