A Militia of Our Female Heroes; G？rdesli Makbule

Our geography witnessed many wars throughout history and paid my prices for this land. The reason why our country is prosperous right now is thanks to the price paid by their ancestors for this land. It is important and necessary to know the lives, sacrifices made and values of our heroes, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of maintaining the peace in this country. That's why, in the national education curriculum, the national struggle period and the heroes of the national struggle are included. In this study, document review of the qualitative research designs was used to explain and teach the fact that the Turkish society can overcome any difficulty thanks to values such as freedom, independence, patriotism, national unity and solidarity through these heroes. The aim of this study is; to teach the idea that the Turkish nation can overcome any difficulty thanks to the values it adopted such as freedom, independence, patriotism, national unity and solidarity, which is within the scope of the courses taught in primary schools, secondary schools and higher education such as history, Ataturk’s principles and history of Turkish revolution, using the anecdotes of G？rdesli Makbule, and to bring to light this hero who has an important place for our nation and to bring her to a place in our history she deserves. As in every period of Turkish history, there were many heroines during the national struggle period. G？rdesli Makbule, one of our women who fought on battlefront in Manisa, was raised as a warrior by her family. She took training on horse riding, grooming and shooting at a young age.
