Evaluation of Relationship of the Cultural Landscapes and Rural Tourism Use: Cumal？k？z？k-Bursa Example

Cultural landscapes are the areas of natural area that evolve and show unique character with local identity. Cultural landscapes that provide continuity of these areas are an important building block for rural tourism. The aim of this study is to determine the cultural landscape values in rural areas and to investigate the effects on rural tourism. The material of study consists of in addition to the historical and cultural identity, the Bursa –Cumal？k？z？k, which has a rural identity, is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The current natural and cultural values of the area and the uses of rural tourism were put forward. Cultural landscape values were determined by field work, observation, expert opinion. The effects of cultural landscape values on rural tourism use were determined by SWOT analysis and TOWS matrix. In this study, it is aimed to form a base for the rural tourism planning studies
