Investigation of Communication Skills Levels of Physical Education and Sports College Students (Bartin University Case)

This study was carried out to investigate the level of communication skills of the students of the School of Physical Education and Sports. The research population was composed of the students of the Physical Education and Sports College of Bart？n University in 2017-2018 academic year. The sample group consisted of 493 students (182 female and 311 male) studying in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades of Bart？n University School of Physical Education and Sports. The data obtained from the study were collected by Korkut (1997), the ？ Communication Skills Assessment Scale ？zellikler which was validated and validated later and the u Personal Information Form geli？tiril prepared to determine the demographic characteristics of the students. The obtained SPSS was analyzed in the 23.0 package program. In order to evaluate the data, T-test, Kruskal Wallis-H, Tukey and ANOVA statistical analysis methods were applied. The findings of the study showed that students of Bartin University School of Physical Education and Sports have high communication skills. While there was no significant difference in terms of gender, class, department, socio-economic level variables, it was found that communication skills of 17-19 year-old students were significantly higher in terms of age variable than in 20-22 years old students. As a result, it can be said that the level of evaluation of communication skills of the participants varies according to various variables and that the average score values have a positive effect
