Awareness of Anesthesia for Beginning Students in Medical Faculty

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine their awareness of anesthesia practices and demographic characteristics of students who are new to Ahi Evran University Faculty of Medicine. Materials and Methods: Our work was done on 61 medical faculty students. Medical training is long, requires hard work and dedication. Our society is also less aware of who the anesthetists are and what exactly they do. Even our people do not even know that anesthetists are doctors. For this reason, students who will be physicians, asking questions about anesthesia, their level of knowledge was measured. Results: The results obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed, compared and examined. In our study, we found that students graduated from different schools, graduation affects the level of anesthesia knowledge, even the area where they live has changed their knowledge about surgery and anesthesia applications. Conclusion: As a result, the level of knowledge about anesthesia is influenced by many factors. We were of the opinion that more training would be beneficial
