The Use of the Atrocity Propaganda in The First World War: The Examinat?on on The Anti-German Propaganda Posters of The Entente StatesKeywords: Zulüm Propagandas?,poster,Almanya,Birinci Dünya Sava??,?tilaf Devletleri Abstract: Atrocity propaganda is a type of propaganda aimed at transmitting information about crimes allegedly committed or committed by the enemy through mass media tools. One of the most effective periods of the history of atrocity propaganda is the First World War. In this period, the Entente States often benefited from acrocity propaganda against Germany in order to obtain public opion support. In particular, posters used for propaganda played an important role in the context of the acrocity propaganda in the hate speech built against the Germans. In this study, propaganda posters used against Germans by the Entente States in the First World War were analyzed in the context of the atrocity propaganda. In the study, 8 propaganda posters (Belgium, Red Cross, Demolition, Massacre, Butcher, German Military, Navy, Monster) selected using the objective sampling method in anti-German posters determined at the site of Historyhit were examined using semiotical analysis method included qualitative research methods. Posters are analyzed via Contradiction Model of the French Anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss. In the light of the findings in the study, it was seen that it was tried to construct the hate speech for the Germans, claiming that the Germans destroyed Europe and leading to massacres against civilians in the posters
