Investigation of Morphological and Yield Characteristics of Common Wheat Genotypes Developed for Use in Biscuit Industry in Irrigated Conditions

This research was carried out in 2016-2017 under ecologic conditions of Konya, 21 high-level lines developed under biscuit breeding program and 4 standard varieties and three replications according to randomized blocks trial design in irrigated conditions. In the study, plant height, number of spikes per square meter, harvest index, thousand grain weight, hectolitre weights and some yield properties of genotypes were investigated. As a result of the research, the genotypes were 67-107.8 cm in plant height, 382.67 -575.33 pcs/m2 number of spikes per square meter, harvest indixes 26.94-34.30%, thousand grain weights 34.74-50.13 g, hectolitre weights 73.19-80.78 kg/hl and grain yields 862.7 and 517.6 kg/da. Significant differences were found between the genotypes in terms of traits in terms of all traits in terms of statistics. As a result of the research, lines of 2, 3, 4, 6, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23 among biscuit varieties candidates came to the forefront as promising genotypes in terms of the traits that we examined and this was the result that can be evaluated in subsequent breeding studies
