Determination of Fisheries Consumption Preferences in Ankara

This research is conducted in order to determine the fishery consumption preferences in Ankara province. In this context, the related data were collected from 1181 people using face-to-face and electronic surveys. According to the results of the survey, participants’ frequency of fish consumption is as follows; 26.7% consume fish once every 15 days, 23.9% once a month and 19.0% once a week. 39.9% of participants consume fish for balanced and healthy nutrition and 42.7% of the participants purchase fish from supermarkets. Most of the participants (61,2%) think that prices of fish sales are high. 78.5% prefer hunted fish for their consumption. Fish is mostly consumed in winter 64.4%
