Teacher’s Views About the Visuals’ are being used in Coursebooks Contribution on Learning According to Constructivist Learning ApproachKeywords: Ders kitab?,??retmen g?rü?ü,g?rsellerin ??renmeye katk?s? Abstract: The visuals in course books should contribute to learning in an appropriate way according to constructivist approach in order to increase the success. The aim of this study is to determine the teacher’s views about the visuals’ contribution in learning which are used in course books according to constructivist approach. Survey research model was used as a research method. Participants were 111 Science and Technology teachers working in different provinces in Turkey. Survey which was developed by the researcher was used and its reliability and validity analyses were completed. Mean and standard deviation values of the data were examined. In addition, frequency analyses were performed. According to the results, teacher’s views about the visuals’ contribution in learning according to constructivist learning approach were positive. However, the visuals were not initiative for creative and critical thinking skills. Concept maps and mind maps were not used in course books. Well-qualified visuals should be used in the course books. Concept maps and mind maps should be used in course books in order to contribute to the organization and summarization
