The Investigation of the Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational CommitmentKeywords: Duygusal Zeka,?rgütsel Ba?l?l?k,Yüzme E?itmenleri Abstract: In the literature part of this study, the concept of emotional intelligence, its importance and Schutte emotional intelligence model; besides the concept of organizational commitment, its importance and its dimensions are discussed. This study was carried out on 228 swimming instructors who work in Sports Istanbul which is an affiliate company of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in order to examine the effect ofthat there is a positively low level effect of emotional intelligence on organizational commitment. In other words, changes in organizational commitment is explained by emotional intelligence at 0,9%. When the subscales of this effect were examined, it was also found that emotional intelligence was positively low level effect on sub-dimensions of organizational commitment which are emotional commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. In another saying, it is showned that changes in affective commitment is explained by emotional intelligence at 0,3%; changes in continuance commitement is explained by emotional intelligence at 0,4%; changes in normative commitment is explained by emotional intelligence at 1,3%
