The Use of Composting Sewage Sludge and Agricultural Wastes in Agricultural LandKeywords: Ar?tma ?amuru, geri d?nü?üm,kompost,m?s?r sap?,organik madde Abstract: Improper production techniques deteriorate soil quality, decrease soil organic matter, and inhibit the movement of water, air and plant nutrients in soil and damage plant growth. The main cause of organic matter reduction in agricultural areas is the release of carbon into the atmosphere during oxidation process. In this context, the lost carbon from the soil, that can be obtained with the additional of the sludge and the agricultural wastes. The use of sewage sludge in agriculture will provide both soil nutrient elements and waste sludge can be disposed with this application. The amount of organic carbon in agricultural wastes needs to be recycled to the soil. In marginal semi-arid areas devoid of organic matter, it is expected that the bio-solids will be composted together with agricultural wastes to provide carbon and nitrogen mineralization in the soil, to increase the organic matter content, to increase the aggregate stability and eventually to reduce agricultural waste burning
