Building Activities and Architecture in Urfa City after the Republican Period of Turkey and Construction Process of the Governorate Building

Urfa City has been home to many different civilizations since the Neolithic period and with the republican period social, cultural and administrative changes have been experienced in Urfa. In this process, new urban development activities have been realized in many years. Some of the public buildings of Urfa were formed by new structuring activities; some of the public buildings of Urfa were formed with the conversion of old structures. In this study, Urfa urban history and urban reconstruction activities were evaluated in generally, the effect of the construction process and urban development of the Governorate Building has been discussed
